Protea Hatfield Apartments - Pretoria

Booking was not clear - I booked & gave my credit card details on my daughters behalf. When she arrived they denied access until receiving a copy of my id and cc which is not possible on a Sunday at 4pm.. This should have been made clear when booking.

The location is good.

No breakfast restaurant within the hotel

Everyone is very friendly and it is very neat.

The location in relation to Loftus

An experience that I would not like to repeat . The noise from revelers outside stopped at 05h20 so there was no sleep to be had . Furthermore , I booked 2 apartments but upon arrival was given 1 with two rooms .

The security and spacious apartment.

On the ground level of the Hotel are restaurants and bar. We were unable to sleep as there was a terrible loud noise of music which started around 22:00 until 3:00 in the morning.

not an enjoyable stay in Pretoria, so difficult to comment

I had booked this hotel as the hotel was advertised with a swimming pool which was misrepresented as it was only a splash pool without the opportunity to lounge around the pool which was what I expected to be able to do

Safety

No fly screens so weere eaten by mossies. the club next nearby playerd music all night. , very hard to sleep.

Its clean

The picking and the droping of the guest from the airport needs. We were pick by a staff members friend who charge us more than the ussual fee from the airport. I also belive the laundry service can do better on the pressing of cloth.

Convenient location if you have business in the Hatfield area. Lots of fast food type eateries around, probably students' heaven in this regard.

Noisy but that's to be expected if you want to be right in the centre of Hatfield. However if the apartment is going to be occupied by 2 people, a second bedside table and lamp should also be on the other side of the bed, so that both people can read in bed or put things on their own bedside table. I found it most inconvenient to go and have to read in the lounge area at night. The pillows are like hard bullets - a quite decent pillow inner that is miles too large for the tiny pillowcase into which it is stuffed. Thay need to get larger pillow cases!!!!!!!!

The male staff member who checked us in was very nice. The apartment was perfectly maintained and cleaned. It appears as if Housekeeping and Maintenance loves the property so please tell them that the toilette is leaking in unit c3.

The female receptionist who was checkeing in another gentleman while I was checking in was very sarcastic with him. The female receptionist who checked us out was very slow and unhelpful. They are not good ambassadors for the hotel. The arrangement with Cofi to provide breakfast is a concern for the staff of Cofi. They were uncomfortable with the fact that the restaurant bill was r170.00 And the voucher was for r220.00. Maybe they we just hussling for a tip.

The location is very convinient, you can reach out to various facilities at a walking distance. Privacy of the apprtments is of reasonable standard and security is also I think it was there atleast during my stay.

The rooms have got a stove. But where are the pots and plates?

- The location. Shops, mall, restaurants around. - Big fridge, microwave in the room.

- Flats on north side are very noisy at night untill 3 am. - It is a furnished flat without pans, few place setting. - No internet in rooms. Only in the lobby. - When the neighbor takes a shower, that seems to be in our room. - Low choice of tv channels. - The swimming pool is nothing else than a bathtub. Fortunately out of order.
